General Summary


Individual contributor field sales role, responsible for selling company products, services or solutions into a particular territory or region.  Coordinates the sales and customer relationship process to meet assigned financial objectives; including achievement of product sales/solution sales goals. May recommend selection and development of distributors and other customer types in respective regions in order to achieve continued growth in marketplace and support achievement of company financial objectives. Travel is required


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary Contact / Style of Contact:
    Develop, grow, and maintain sales and management customer relationships at all levels within region. Engages appropriate internal resources as necessary, to support sales pursuits

    Proactively plan and direct sales activities in respective region by routine visits, customer training, providing information of new products/solutions in order to achieve maximum results in development of existing and new customers.

  • Primary Job Focus:       
    Manages the on-going account relationships. Maintains account presence by providing value-added services and maintaining professional relationships with key customer personnel, Coordinates the sales and customer relationship process to meet assigned financial objectives; including achievement of product sales/solution sales goals.
    Demonstrates significant expertise in assigned product lines and ability to explain technical issues. Has a broad knowledge of the entire product line.
  • Job Accountabilities:  
     Understands customer’s business, technology and product requirements and appropriately matches solutions to meet customer needs
    Performs revenue and demand forecasting, account planning, project planning and other related sales administrative tasks to grow financial objectives.  Provides information and reports, as required, to inform management of sales progress and success.
  • Create new revenue opportunities by selling CommScope Structured Cabling Solutions in the Enterprise and DC space to new and existing clients and partners in Mumbai.
  • Generate sales leads, qualify opportunities, manage the RFP/RFQ process, and close business
  • Develop strategic relationships Regionally and nationally by meeting potential customers and local consultants, system installers, and builders, to continue to grow our market share and status among relevant end customers
  • Provide leadership, direction, team building, coaching as needed for the channel partners
  • Stay connected to the industry and be able to recognize potential opportunities for new projects
  • Understand customer requirements and work with Align FAEs to create designs that best utilize their new data center facility.
  • Know the “CommScope Value Proposition” and carrying that message with a passion - understand and convey the value CommScope can bring to potential customers and their setup
  • Responsible for reporting in to the Regional Sales Leader to meet and overachieve sales targets, maintain an accurate forecast and hit quarterly quotas which have been agreed upon
  • Establish relationships at all organizational levels and obtain “Trusted Advisor” status with clients
  • Develop and implement account infiltration strategies
  • Rapidly assimilate knowledge of best industry trends/practices/services/technologies to drive enhanced revenue opportunities

Role in sales process:          
Executes the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying sales leads, coordinating sales activities and required resources for solution development, to presenting solutions and negotiating through the close. Using appropriate sales messaging, favorable influences selection of products, service or solutions in targeted accounts

  • Communication Skills:
    Supports and participates in team sales initiatives where applicable by gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts
  • Relationship Building Skills: proven experience
  • Sales/Selling Skills: Proven experience in planning and managing Channels (Ecosystem SI, General Contractors, PMC , Nodal Agencies etc. ) , engaging end customers, working with Consultants. Good experience in planning sales in a region and proven results in delivering on target sales for a region (Work experience with Govt. , PSU customer accounts & tender driven business is preferred )
  • Account Planning/Forecasting Skills: proven experience in planning and delivering on results in a region
  • Product/Service/Solution Knowledge: proven experience in LAN Cabling and Switching Technologies, Data Center Technologies – these are minimum mandatory skills.

          Customer/ Account/Market/Industry Knowledge: Proven experience for Western India (preferred)


Qualification & Experience:

  • Preferably with Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as B.TECH in ECE (minimum). A full time MBA in sales and marketing from a reputed institution is preferable with 5+ years of relevant expereince.
