As a Director of Engineering, your key responsibility will be to lead a group of talented engineers and managers, responsible for delivering new platforms and system management infrastructure for enterprise campus switching and routing.


  • Understand customer needs, strategic needs, and competitive landscape. Work with peers in Product Management, HW engineering, and SW engineering organizations to define, and prioritize the roadmap.
  • Work with broader engineering team to plan and deliver new platforms and features
  • Lead transformation of the platform and system management infrastructure to the next generation OS.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions and reviews.
  • Be a good technical soundboard for the team members.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements on an ongoing basis and work with the broader teams to get them implemented
  • Hire & grow technical talent
  • Mentor senior team members

Aptitude & attitude is most of what you need to be successful. 


Following qualifications will help:

  • Strong fundamentals in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Solid understanding of computer networking.
  • Experience managing large technical teams (including managers). Experience working with teams across different geographies.
  • Experience delivering large projects, and preferably in the switching and routing space.
  • Experience with delivering new platforms (platform bring up etc.) is a major plus.
  • Experience in working with ODM is a plus
  • Work experience with merchant silicon (Marvell, Broadcom etc.)
  • Fluency in C programming language. While we don’t expect Directors to code, it is critical for management to be hands on to guide the team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving, programming.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Thrive in team environment.
  • 15+ years of industry experience, with 5+ years in management
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
