Title:  Delivery Lead

The role of the Delivery Lead will be responsible for the entire life cycle of their defined Network Role Out (NRO) project. Organisational skills and attention to detail are imperative. Having the ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in various geographic locations and plan, coordinate and drive on-site installation events to their dependencies & timelines.

 

To provide management/support to direct reports ensuring effective successful delivery in terms of Time, Quality (Right First Time) and efficiency, thereby reducing Costs and improving financial margins on the projects, working closely with the other Project leads within the PMO where required. Ensure delivery performance objectives are achieved.

 

Ensure that the attitude for Continuous Improvement (CI) is adopted throughout the reporting chain and demonstrate measureable savings due to efficiency/CI ideas being brought to life within the organization and be an advocate of change and bring innovation to the team in all aspects of their daily routine.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide day-to-day management, direction and coaching on project specific tasks as well as individual professional development of the Delivery teams.
  • Support the Project Start-up and Initiation phases of the project through trial sites and into BAU NRO
  • Provide day-to-day on-site coordination support to ensure delivery issues are identified and mitigated as soon as possible.
  • Working with the field teams to ensure delivery risks are mitigated & issues are dealt with as soon as possible.
  • Provide technical direction of delivery activities and solutions (PIV gating, HOP support, on-the-day, etc.)
  • Working with the team & customer where required & ensure plans are agreed and communicated against as required
  • Attendance to various formal delivery review meetings with the customer as required (face-to-face/call)
  • Ensures appropriate resources are allocated to their projects, and delivery is controlled in line with the Project KPIs and financial measures in close support of the Project Managers
  • Maintain staffing resource plans to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables
  • Feedback / communication across the project team and ensure that any issues raised are dealt with in good time.
  • Manage continuous improvement in projects as advised with the line manager
  • Ensure that the day to day EH&S standards are maintained across all projects
  • Ensure quality standards are adhered to across all processes
  • Comply with CommScope policies and procedures

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Management experience in a Mobile Telecoms environment for at least 2 years
  • Line Management and ability to develop teams – 1 years
  • Client facing skills – 2 years
  • Technical experience in a Mobile Telecoms environment for at least 5 years
  • Ability to stand and present to peer and the Senior Management
  • Excellent MS Skills – inc. Excel
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities within existing projects
  • Ability to ensure delivery is maintained within H&S constraints
  • Ability to ensure delivery is maintained financial constraints
  • Travel and/or overnight stays maybe required
