Title:  Vice President Smart Home Solutions

Smart Home Solutions is a start-up business unit being incubated within CommScope's Home Networks segment. It leverages its unique market position and knowledge of the home, with ~300M compute devices deployed in homes worldwide. Home Networks is a leading global provider of access and video technology for homes.

We want to help enable this transformation with an internally developed technology system that enables third-party applications focused first on Home Care and Telehealth, with an aspiration to ultimately redefine how humans interact with technology within their homes across a broad array of applications that will help enrich and fulfill lives.

 

How You'll help us connect the world:

 

We are looking for a tenacious, bold and strategic VP to lead the Smart Home Solutions business. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of commercializing Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and applications. Experience in doing so within the healthcare field would be ideal, but not required. In this role, the leader will take the existing baseline solution and build it into a profitable SaaS growth engine for the Segment.

This position will be reporting to the President of the Home Networks segment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

You will be leading the Smart Home Solutions business unit within the Home Networks Segment.

You will create, define and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, prioritizing market segments and product roadmaps. You will serve as a player/coach leader of the team and execute against a high-revenue growth imperative.

Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring strategic plans are translated into tactical actions that are monitored, tracked, and adjusted as needed.

Ensure that the organization clearly understands the requirements for success and has deep understanding of the markets we pursue.

Organize the team such that there are clear lines of responsibility and accountability, with the right skills in place to execute the strategic plan.

Develop, foster and build deep relationships with an ecosystem of partners and customers that will enable sustainable growth for the business.

Ensure financial goals and budgets are met or exceeded.

Participate as a member of the Home Networks Segment senior leadership team, helping to set the strategy for the overall business and acting as a leadership role model for the rest of the organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience in the development and commercialization of SaaS solutions and applications, ideally within the healthcare/home healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience leading a business unit with P&L ownership and/or commercial function with revenue responsibility.
  • Extensive business/market development experience, with skills in market segmentation, go-to-market planning, and sales strategy.
  • Prior experience leading and managing teams of highly skilled and experienced professionals; understands how to staff, organize, and motivate a team; knows how to lead other leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of enabling SaaS technologies and processes.
  • Has a growth mindset with a track record of proven results.
  • A collaborator and team builder with strong executive presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
