As a Technical Sales professional with CommScope Intelligent Cellular Networks (ICN), you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success. Your primary responsibility will be to combine your technical expertise with sales skills to promote, manage, and grow the ICN business within a set of named accounts. By understanding customer requirements, providing technical consulting, and offering tailored solutions, you will contribute to achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities by researching and understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, actively prospecting and generating leads.
- Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions to showcase CommScope's solutions and their benefits.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers and product management, to develop and deliver comprehensive customer proposals and quotes.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions, ensuring the best outcome for both the customer and CommScope.
Technical Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of CommScope's products, technologies, and solutions.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and market trends related to wireless cellular networks.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and recommendations to customers, assisting them in selecting the most appropriate solutions for their specific needs.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering teams to address complex customer requirements and develop customized solutions.
- Develop customer focused processes to help drive stronger business outcomes for CommScope and the customer.
Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including service providers, third party network operators, and supporting engineering services firms.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with CommScope's products and services.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the network of contacts and promote CommScope's solutions.
Sales Analytics and Reporting:
- Track sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities using CommScope CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to provide insights and recommendations for improving sales performance.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in technical sales or a related field, preferably in the DAS and Small Cell space.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and result oriented.
- Travel to customer sites and industry events as required.
- Track record for high ethics and strong customer trust.
Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $138,500- $207,000
