CommScope is recruiting for a North America Export Manager to lead the US Export program, providing strategic direction and execution leadership. Establish and maintain management systems and subject matter expertise to drive compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to export activities and mitigate risks arising from those activities. This is a remote role that allows you to work from anywhere in the US, provided you are open to travel as needed.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
Establish and maintain management systems and subject matter expertise to drive compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to export activities and mitigate risks arising from those activities. Responsibilities also include:
- Develop and drive the implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures relating to export activities (including export controls, export licensing, licensing exceptions, due diligence, re-exports, sanctions, free trade agreements, recordkeeping and anti-boycott requirements) and assist with effective local and regional implementation of those policies and procedures.
- Plan, assess, and implement trade system solutions for effectively managing daily operations while complying with local requirements and regulations. Identify opportunities to leverage processes and technology to create efficiencies, increase compliance, and improve controls.
- Oversee company export registrations, permits, and licenses. Guide export filings to ensure accuracy. Maintain quality control and oversight of in-house export classifications and country of origin determinations.
- Identify key groups and provide targeted training related to export compliance risks.
- Develop, implement, and conduct compliance reviews and audits to measure performance and assess compliance, risks, and violations.
- Ensure effective communication across the organization. Be able to develop and lead global programs focused on due diligence, sanctions, and classification.
- There is the potential to manage a team of trade compliance professionals, with an emphasis on subject matter expertise, talent development, and program continuity.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- A completed bachelor’s degree in a related curriculum with at least seven years of experience, including compliance export expertise.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. Global Trade Regulations, including the Export Administrative Regulations (EAR)
- In-depth knowledge of USMCA and TAA/BABA.
- Thorough understanding of Category 5, (b)(2) and ENC license exception.
- Detailed knowledge of global Due Diligence regulations.
- Working knowledge of SAP/GTS.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $87,400 - $111,500.
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
