CommScope is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer that will work with our versatile architecture and operations support teams to deploy, maintain and ensure the reliability of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications in a fast-paced environment. The Platform Engineer is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance and support of CommScope’s cloud-based infrastructure to ensure overall availability and reliability.
How You'll Help Us Connect The World
- Design and implement automated and proactive security measures to help improve our security posture
- Architect and build continuous delivery automated pipelines for a suite of microservices that are secure by default.
- Execute automated and/or manual test suites throughout projects.
- Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including testing tools, process improvements, and test automation to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
- Monitor application logs and responds to errors
- Look for ways to improve build times and speed up feedback loops
- Maintain ongoing industry knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
- Assist with developing a service catalog/library of deployable and documented cloud design templates for deploying environments to cloud providers.
- Implement solutions for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
- Translate and implement solution designs for scalable, highly available cloud applications.
- Implement and automate procedures for deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrading of systems and applications.
- Analyze production workloads and conduct performance testing to identify areas of improvement within the managed environments.
- Work with the team to identify, analyze, and correct issues in real time.
- Conduct migrations to transfer infrastructure, applications, and tools into cloud environments, as needed.
- Designing and implementing proactive monitoring and alerting to ensure uptime and cloud security.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
- A minimum of 6 years of infrastructure and software development experience
- Deep knowledge of Azure development, configuration, and deployment
- Experience with source control management practices and tools, preferably with Git
- Experience with infrastructure as code technologies, preferably Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, or Bicep
- Strong scripting skills with the ability to develop tooling
You Will Excite Us if You Have
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices in an always-up, always-available environment
- Willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivation to succeed and grow
- Experience creating and maintaining Continuous Integration Automation with platforms such as Azure DevOps,
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and AWS ECS, Azure AKS

Anticipated salary range dependent on experience and qualifications: $113000 - $147100 / year.
