The Systems Engineer will perform technical demos, proof of concept trials, training, and deliver customer presentations. You will be proficient self-starter, with strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and interpersonal skills. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
How You'll help us to connect the world:
Provide solution-oriented, technical sales and support to our Federal Service and Managed Service Providers, Federal Systems integrators and end-user customers as needed. The Associate Systems Engineer will work as a member of a team partnered with an Associate Territory Account Manager to design and sell CommScope/RUCKUS networking solutions. Primary responsibilities will focus on Federal partner development and education, engagement in the assigned territory, performing technical demonstrations, proof of concept trials, training, and delivering customer presentations. The successful candidate will be a proficient self-starter with strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Federal customers and their business models is desired. Possess a proficient knowledge of the CommScope/RUCKUS wireless and wired portfolio and related technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales network engineering design, Bill of Material creation, sales opportunity engagement, and technical training individually or in more extensive group settings.
- Identifying and driving the development of a territory account plan based on awareness of the business economics and industry trends.
- Have a proficient knowledge of RUCKUS wireless, wired and software products.
- Act as a technical advisor who can differentiate and competitively position RUCKUS products.
- Assist the Territory Account Manager in driving revenue and selling solutions to meet and exceed quota goals.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering; Computer Programming; Information Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Science; Mathematics; or three or more years of experience working with IP/Wireless technologies.
- Ability to support troubleshooting of complex problems.
- Effective technical presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- U.S. government clearance
- Previous sales and/or sales engineering experience
- An associate-level networking industry certification such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Aruba, Ruckus, or CWNA
- Knowledge and experience of SE technical skills; specifically, 802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax, 3GPP & LTE (a plus) wireless design and assessment, heat map creation, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design, configuration, troubleshooting, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), Cloudpath etc.
- Knowledge of the following areas of specialization: VLAN; Security; VoIP; QoS wired/wireless; BYOD/MDM; PtP; Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless deployments; Packet Capture/Analysis Tools; WLAN Security in the areas of Authentication, Encryption, RADIUS/AAA, EAP/PSK, and Active Directory; RF polarization and Antenna signal propagation behavior.

Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $80,200.00-130,700.00
