Engineer I, Process

General Summary: responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by developing new processes, analyzing data, and solving production problems. Key duties include creating and updating work instructions and process documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing process improvement projects, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and supporting the introduction of new products and automated equipment

 

How you will help us connect the world

  • Process optimization: Continuously improve current manufacturing processes and develop new ones to enhance efficiency, quality, and yield while reducing costs and waste.
  • Documentation and procedures: Create and maintain process flow charts, work instructions, and other technical documentation related to process changes or new products.
  • Problem-solving: Analyze process data to identify root causes of problems and provide technical assistance to manufacturing to resolve issues related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Project management: Lead and manage projects aimed at improving productivity and reducing downtime, including validating project results and preparing reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, automation engineers, and production staff to support new product introductions, implement engineering changes, and ensure smooth integration of new processes and equipment.
  • Compliance and safety: Ensure all processes and procedures adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies

 

Required Qualification for consideration. 

       

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, E&TC, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
    OR
    Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 7+ years of experience

       

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Fiber Optic processes.
  • Proficient in Fiber connector termination and root cause analysis using quality tools.
  • Ability to interpret BOM structures and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments.

         

Skills & Competencies:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills across various levels and disciplines.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, FMEA, and Lean Manufacturing principles
