CommScope is looking to add RF Engineer to join our Structures and Connectivity R&D team in Goa. The ideal candidate will be located in Goa
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
RF Engineer responsible for the development of new designs and cost optimization of the existing product for local manufacture. The candidate must be able to provide real time solutions to design issues discovered in the manufacturing process and recommend/document the resolution. Also, must be knowledgeable in manufacturing processes and technologies in order to support factory and part evaluations.
- Accountable for the design, development, evaluation and analysis, applying engineering principles for microwave components and/or antenna systems
- Performs component level design and initial testing. Develops and performs product procedures for production testing and supports integration plans for new or updated products.
- Test/evaluate competing products and technologies.
- Investigates and troubleshooting on prototypes and knows the latest regarding RF/systems development. Research new technologies.
- Documents procedures/processes related to work for RF production testing.
- Support Sales team and Product Line Management by assisting in the preparation of bids, proposals, and Request for Quote for current and potential customers. Under the leadership of more senior engineers, develop technical solutions/product designs to serve customer requirements.
- Prepare part specifications. Researches and evaluates potential vendors and makes recommendations as to the final vendor selection. Work closely with our R&D centers in UK, USA, and China
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor’s in engineering with preferably of 3 years of experience with RF design of reflector antenna systems and/or waveguide components such as transitions, OMTs and couplers at microwave frequencies
- Design experience applying electromagnetic design software such as CST Studio Suite, HFSS, Quickwave or GRASP
- Ability to set up and carry out S-parameter tests on various microwave components using Network Analyzers and creation of test fixtures to support high volume production
- Familiar with working with NPI and operations to move product from development to volume
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills to sufficiently understand customer requirements and deliver results that meet customer requirements
- Proficient in English- Good verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
- Master degree in RF/Telecommunications Engineering.
- Holding patents would be good to have criteria
