We are seeking an analytical, results driven, pro-active Planning Manager, with previous experience in a similar role preferably in supply chain, logistics or planning for Australia and New Zealand region.

 

As the Planning Manager you are responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service is provided while meeting financial requirements, through control and centralized co-ordination of the day to day operations of planning. This includes looking after Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Control and Co-ordination of Inventory, Sales and Operations Plans, Information Accuracy for MRP and co-ordination of New Product Implementation/Material Changes.

 

This position manages all levels of demand and conducts end to end planning of inventory and inventory drivers to ensure exceptional customer service, timely and efficient logistics flow and minimizing waste associated with inventory and time.  This position includes tactical buying from both external and inter-entity vendors, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and service.

 

It is advantageous for the successful candidate to possess qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or equivalent in experience. APICS CPM certification is advantageous. In addition, the applicant should possess the following:

 

  • Well-rounded management experience with strong financial acumen
  • Solid operational experience, preferably multinational (US or EU) company experience
  • Proven experience in working successfully cross-functionally in a matrix organization
  • Telecommunications industry experience with knowledge of communication products is strongly desired
  • Experience in a Manufacturing and Logistics environment utilizing a computerized MRP/ERP system
  • Track record of successful project management
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvements to ensure quality of the outcomes
  • Strong time management skills
  • Successfully demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to exercise initiative and achieve outcomes
  • Proven people manager, mentor and developer.
  • Computer literate – advanced level of Microsoft office knowledge and experience
  • SAP experience – advanced level preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
