Key Accounts Managers for NTT Group are responsible for the CxO level relationships within NTT group. The KAM sales manager should be developing and implementing customer centric business strategies to expand the CommScope product portfolio, positioning CommScope as a strategic technical partner and thought leader.


The KAM will lead the development of short and long-term strategy for growing revenue, identifying new opportunities, and understanding additional revenue streams.  Accountable for driving a focused effort, identifying customer technical requirements, presenting solutions, and closing opportunities. Coordinating across global regions, interfacing with local CommScope Sales and Technical teams.


NTT KAM sales director work for all NTT group entities including Docomo, East/West, Communications, NTT Labs and also their affiliate company J-Towers, NEC. The NTT KAM sales manager is expected to drive NTT business development and customer engagement in product demonstration, trial evaluation support and customer feedback to business unit. NTT KAM sales manager needs to build relationship with NTT top management to identify and explore new opportunities.


Duties & Responsibilities

To plan the NTT business strategy, drive all sales activities with each segment BU sales team. Responsible for finding key decision maker and ensuring the customer satisfaction and carry the business development activity with segment BU sales team to contribute company strategic business growth in both mobile and fixed area.

  • Engage at CxO level within NTT – regional and HQ and coordinate Exec level alignment between the companies
  • Develop, manage and execute a NTT Strategic Account Plan - detailing objectives, responsibilities, and timelines for assigned accounts - Identify short/long term product development goals and drive back into appropriate segment/product lines
  • Collaborate to maintain strategic communication with all CommScope resources who are stakeholders with assigned Strategic Accounts. This will include customer web portals, monthly reports and updating CommScope’s SharePoint site, Mobilize internal resources
  • Maintain, grow, and strengthen CommScope relationship and position within Strategic Accounts with and through, CommScope account teams and partners
  • Identify short/long term product development goals and drive into appropriate segment/product lines
  • Coordinate Exec level alignment internally, coordinate Sales Managers and collaborate with Field Sales responsible for the account
  • Achieve Trusted Adviser Status, securing Approved Supplier status
  • Project manage larger deals and negotiations
  • Identify customer problems and drive them within the appropriate business to position cross-segment CommScope solutions through to product approval status
  • Continued maintenance of Strategic Accounts’ pricing strategies
  • Coordinate consistent global or regional messaging, and engagement strategies for Key Assigned Account

Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum 10-15 years Sales/Sales Engineering experience in Telecommunications/IT industries
  • Technical background about 5G mobile, fiber cable, connectivity like fiber closure, fiber terminal, PON/WDM technology is highly appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Basic management tools, IT literacy on PC/Tablet/smart phone, Microsoft office
  • Excellent English skills of speaking, writing and reading are required in addition to fluent Japanese language communication.
