Job Family Summary Supervisa y coordina las actividades del personal que está involucrado en una o más areas de producción para asegurar el flujo continuo del trabajo así como el cumplimiento de proyectos de acuerdo a las especificaciones de cantidad y calidad. Así como dar seguimiento a los procedimientos, métricos y reglas establecidas por le empresa. Scope Supervises and controls the activities of one shift, sub-section or small work group within a department of operations where there is similar activity performed. · Supervises with operational focus in assigned area. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility. · Involved in managing the activities, deliverables and problems on a day-to-day basis. May also perform similar tasks as subordinates, but people management is an essential element of the job. · Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

· Has financial impact only within the scope of immediate activities. · Financial decisions are typically made by next level management. · Perform other duties as required. · Estudia los programas de producción y estima los requerimientos de hora-hombre para completar el trabajo asignado. · Analiza y resuelve problemas de trabajo o asiste a los trabajadores en resolver problemas del mismo. · Realiza evaluaciones de desempeño de sus subordinados y recomienda los planes de desarrollo pertinentes. · Recomienda o inicia acciones de personal, tales como ascensos, transferencias, bajas y medidas disciplinarias. · Mantiene registros sobre tiempos y producción. · Puede entrenar a los nuevos trabajadores. · Tiene juntas con otros Supervisores para coordinar las actividades de los departamentos individuales. · Desarrolla, modifica y mantiene los Procedimientos Estándares de Operación (SOP) de la

función de producción. · Puede dar seguimiento al programa de entrenamiento de los empleados a su cargo. · Desarrolla buenas relaciones con otros departamentos manteniendo buen ambiente de trabajo. · Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards. · Perform other duties as required.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Under direct supervision, coordinates and manages the group leaders of their different assigned areas, the scope of this position may have interference in one or more areas, could cover several shifts, cover areas discovered by contingencies, among other points.

The position is qualified to cover the position of Supervisor III in absences due to vacations or any other reason and to be in charge of Supervisors I

Under indirect supervision, he coordinates and monitors the activities of the production collaborators in charge of manufacturing the different products that are run in the assigned areas.

It focuses on maintaining and/or increasing standards according to the metrics established in the organization.

 

Prepares and performs the shift change by providing feedback and giving status of the process (production orders, sales, materials, quality, safety, order and cleanliness, among others).

 

Projects:

The day's work must be scheduled and/or planned, priority and order must be established based on the production orders released in its different areas.

Directs:

It includes delegation of authority and decision-making, which implies that the supervisor must maintain good human relations with his collaborators and in general with the support departments, ensuring that his instructions are clear, specific, and complete.

Develops:

It has the responsibility to constantly improve its staff, developing their skills at work, studying and analyzing work methods and developing training plans for new and old personnel, thus raising the efficiency levels of its employees, motivating them towards work, increasing job satisfaction and achieving high-quality work.  likewise, better productivity can be achieved.

Controls:

To create awareness in all its collaborators so that each of them is the controllers of its management, with the supervisor then acting as a conciliator of all the objectives set. You must constantly evaluate to detect the degree to which plans are being achieved.

Provides timely follow-up on aspects related to performance and internal work regulations, executes policies and promotes the organizational culture based on compliance.

Related Education & Experience

 

Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field (title).

Experience within the manufacturing area of at least 6 years of experience as a Production Supervisor

Availability to work in different shifts

Experience with personnel under their charge minimum 3 years
