We are seeking a customer focused, energetic Logistics Specialist, with previous experience in a logistics operation in a 3PL industry


You Will Make an Impact By

As the Logistics Specialist responsible for supporting the effective and efficient management of CommScope’s logistics operations in Australia. Including all transaction management, inventory management, associated freight co-ordination and day to day operational requirements. You function as the liaison between the 3PL Warehouse, Freight forwarders, Logistics Support services and Commscope stakeholders to ensure on time delivery and superior inventory accuracy is achieved whilst understanding how to use Logistics information and systems to drive continues improvement recommendations supporting future logistics process improvements projects.


This position manages the daily 3PL transactions to ensure all required processes are completed in a timely manner, including the processing of on time inbound and outbound shipments. Resolve discrepancies as needed and perform cycle counts when appropriate and as often as needed to ensure inventory accuracy. Performance reports are to be provided on a regular basis and were required you implement corrective actions with our 3PL partner. Daily liaising with Planning, Customer Service, Quality Control, returns, and warehousing functions is key to ensure excellent customer service.

It is advantageous for the successful candidate to possess a certificate/diploma in Logistics or equivalent in experience. In addition, the applicant should possess the following:

  • 3-5 years experience with strong working knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory management principles
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilise resources within all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to build working relationships cross-functional to ensure customer needs are met
  • Ability to coordinate, organise and manage multiple site/project orders simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • An operational mentality, you are always one step ahead
  • The ability to be adaptable to an evolving environment
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • Intermediate MS Office skills – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • SAP experience is advantageous
  • Capability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use logistics data to drive root cause analysis with an emphasis on continues improvement and strong problem solving
