We are seeking a customer focused, energetic Logistics Coordinator, with previous experience in a logistics operation in a 3PL industry. 

As the Logistics Coordinator you support the effective and efficient management of CommScope’s logistics operations in Australia and New Zealand. Including all transaction management, inventory management, associated freight co-ordination and day to day operational requirements.

 

Functioning as the operational coordinator between the 3PL, Warehouse, Freight forwarders, Logistics Support services and Commscope stakeholders, you are to ensure on time delivery and superior inventory accuracy is achieved whilst understanding how to use Logistics information to solve problems.

 

This position oversees inbound (ASN) coordination and outbound freight transacting to ensure all required processes support on-time delivery. You are expected to resolve freight forwarder, shipping line and domestic transport discrepancies and escalations as needed. Also issue daily/weekly and monthly freight tracking reports and implement corrective actions with freight forwarder, shipping vendors and CS entities & 3PL partners where required. In this position you are liaising daily with Planning, Customer services, Quality Control, returns and warehousing functions on inbound/outbound plan vs actual and recovery activity.

This role reports into the Supervisor, Logistics Operations and is based at our North Ryde office.

 

It is advantageous for the successful candidate to possess a certificate/diploma in Logistics or equivalent in experience. In addition, the applicant should possess the following:

  • Strong working knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory management principles
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize resources within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build working relationships cross-functional to ensure customer needs are met
  • Ability to coordinate, organize and manage multiple site/project orders simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • An operational mindset, you are always one step ahead
  • The ability to be adaptable to an evolving environment
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • Intermediate MS Office skills – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • SAP experience is advantageous
  • Capability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use logistics data to drive root cause analysis with an emphasis on continues improvement and strong problem solving
