Title:  Supplier Quality Engineer

1. Maintain a level of knowledge, appropriate to job level of internal systems in order to provide support to Quality staff.
2. Solve material quality issues timely and work with component engineer& design engineer for the specification and drawing improvement according to supplier’s (CM) actual process.
3. To try everything possible to fully meet the global quality target by creative thinking and systematical methods.
4. Carry out suppliers’ quality system & process audit and assessment and drive for effective improvement actions.
5. Analyze supplier DPPM, set up metrics to measure supplier quality performance and take actions to prevent issues and reduce the quality risk.
6. Work with supplier to implement new technology and process per CommScope’s requirement.
7. Work closely with global quality team to solve customer complaint that caused by supplier/material quality.
8. Provide on-site support on the audit of suppliers that provided materials for other BUs and follow-up on CA and PA.
9. New supplier (CM) qualification and evaluation.
10. Existing suppliers training/coaching on quality system improvement and quality tools installation.
11. Lead material qualification/validation projects and work with engineering team during engineering change and verify and assure the change implementations in supplier side.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

1. Major in Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering or Information and Communication Engineering with bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
2. Good command of written and spoken English, CET-4 is required, CET-6 is a plus.
3. Minimum 3~8 years working experience on supplier quality management including process and technology.
4. Must have process experience of Mechanical and/or Electrical manufacturing process.
5. Experience on Lean and six sigma. Qualified Six sigma GB or BB will be a plus
6. Intimate familiarity with ISO9000/TL9000/TS16949 Quality Systems and familiar with product/process development process.
7. Working knowledge and actual execution of PFMEA,SPC,DOE (Design of Experiment) and MSA.
8. Working knowledge of basic and advanced Quality tools, such as TQM, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis(8D), Poke Yoke (Error proof), Kaizen Lean Manufacturing and QC 7 tools etc.
9. Experience with developing/documenting procedures and application of Quality Engineering methods in inspection.
10. Must be familiar with a wide range of reliability, environmental, and qualification programs.
11. The ability to monitor effectiveness of vendor quality programs as well as development reports and implement corrective action programs on an as needed basis.
12. Assertiveness and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
13. Excellent decision-making, logical skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
14. Ability to articulate, defend and negotiate Quality expectations with CM/Suppliers.
15. Be honest, active, independent, self-motivated, willing to take more responsibilities, and able to work under big pressure.
16. Good application of office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point and Minitab) and understanding/interpretation of 2D drawings.
17. Great logical analysis skills on various quality issues.
18. Travelling: 90% YRD & PRD region travelling, 10% other regions.
19. Fiber optical cable industry experience will be a plus.
20. Mechanical and molded plastic experience will be a plus
