Title:  Supervisor, Procurement

This Role Provides work leadership and coach team to achieve the target. Works with the site Operations team and global indirect material team to ensure that strategies are aligned. Develops both current and future sources of supply in support of the overall supply chain strategy.

  • Lead supplier base optimization, process standardization.
  • Develop strategy with global and site team.
  • Operating purchasing procedure compile/optimize/improvement/monitoring for the best performance.
  • Operating purchasing KPI target set up and implement.
  • Responsible to collect the procurement requirements from function departs, include but not limited in delivery time, brand, technology, cost evaluation, installation, Maintenance, etc.
  • Following procedure to select suppliers and ensure timely response from suppliers.
  • Ensure related indirect purchasing process implementation in different locations.
  • Support Manufacturing, Logistics, IT, HR and other functions, as and when required in evaluating potential suppliers and providing an interface between supplier and other functions.
  • Presentation of key supplier data to support Purchasing and all other function’s sourcing decisions, such as quality performance, customer base, delivery performance, level of quality accreditation, technology/process capability and Design & Development capability.
  • Negotiate one-off projects and annual pricing and drive cost reductions to meet objectives in the assigned commodities.
  • Follow Indirect Purchasing Procedure to implement non-production commodities and procurement task.
  • Take lead on Cost Saving Initiatives.
  • Project annual cost saving and target on category/ project basis in align with company strategy, develop cost saving plan and action of purchasing team, ensure plan implement to reach target.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with supplier base and lead the regularly scheduled Business Reviews with suppliers.
  • Analyze and assess the adequacy of our supplier base for each sub-category and to develop additional sources of supply that meet the cost, delivery and quality.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years working experience with indirect purchasing and system background.
  • Very familiar with purchasing process and SAP system.
  • Ability to partner and work cross-functionally with multiple levels of the organization to resolve issues and achieve targets.
  • Excellent negotiation skill in respect of price, payment terms, lead time.
  • Strong leadership and team management capability, and goal orientated.
