Title:  Sourcing Specialist

1. Sourcing and develops new suppliers for new projects/new business needs   

2. Lead vendor selection and qualification process with qualification team when supplier selection procedure applied for direct material purchasing, to ensure all required vendors’ general information and NDA in place

3. Handle RFQ and do cost analysis, negotiation with suppliers on pricing and other term and conditions, ensure that all procurements are based on competitive bids as submitted by qualified suppliers

4. Procure complex direct materials, ensure all necessary purchasing data well maintained in SAP database for order process and that all payment, delivery issues, etc. are resolved.

5. Purchasing contract initial, negotiation and management

6. Achieve cost savings/reductions through supply base optimization & negotiation

7. BU strategy alignment, ensure supply base strategy is line with BU expectation

8. Maintain positive working relationship with supplier base, ensure that the Supplier Performance meets business expectation

9. Supply risk management, analyze and assess any potential risk in the supply base, seek for solution for risk mitigation and avoidance 

10. Interface with Business Units (engineering, manufacturing, quality, planning) to identify business/projects needs and team works to meet those needs

11. Comply with internal and external audits, and provide necessary information during auditing



1. Bachelor’s Degree in related curriculum such as Commercial or Mechanical/Electronic.

2. Minimum 3 years of sourcing, purchasing working experience in manufacturing environment, telecommunication background preferred, and mechanical sourcing experience is preferred.

3. Familiar with office software, ERP (SAP preferred) etc.

4. Good command of reading, spoken and written English, capable to round meetings/conference call both with internal team and external suppliers in English

5. Good communication and negotiation skills

6. High ethical standards and professionalism is required. 

7. Travelling required
