This role ensures that quality procedures and policies for products and services are current, consistently applied, and aligned with divisional and corporate requirements. The role leads the implementation and maintenance of an effective Quality Management System (QMS), directs the ISO 9001 program, and promotes a strong culture of continuous improvement, while ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Quality Management System compliant with the latest ISO 9001, TL 9000 standard and ensure continuous certification.
• Continuously review quality systems and procedures to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision making, prevention, and continuous improvement across the site.
• Lead and support structured continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote and lead the use of proactive quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, and benchmarking.
• Use QMS audits, process and product audits, and customer feedback to drive improvements and recommend changes to materials, processes, products, or services.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure effective introduction of new or improved products, processes, and materials.
• Ensure an effective Supplier Quality Assurance program and work with Procurement and suppliers to drive continuous supplier improvement.
• Develop and maintain a Quality Information System to track, analyze, and report key quality metrics to management.
• Develop and manage the Quality Department’s annual capital and operating budgets.
• Manage and develop Quality team members, ensuring training and development needs are met.
• Participate as an active member of site management and product teams to ensure corporate quality standards are achieved.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Five or more years of Quality Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / TL9000 Quality Management System standards.
• Familiar with telecommunication industry field applications, products, and related manufacturing process.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools such as TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Poka-Yoke.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in English.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and international boundaries.
• Ability to drive change and continuous improvement initiatives.
