Cable Engineer

Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are hiring a Mechanical Engineer who will be based in Suzhou to support the Outdoor Wireless Network (OWN) business segment, which supports the backbone of outdoor cellular and Wi-Fi systems. 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

1. Be responsible for fiber and power and hybrid cable specification creation and maintenance.
2. Work with Regulatory companies for certifications (yearly + new) for Fiber, Hybrid, Power, & Coax Cable.
3. Cable cost owner – Cost model creation & cost calculator, work with procurement/sourcing team.
4. Cable Project owner.
5. Supplier technical interface (qual report/spec acceptance).
6. Cost Reduction initiatives.
7. Cable Supplier audits (when required).
8. Communicate with global design, process engineering for cable project updates.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

1. Bachelor’s degree and above, Fiber and Power cable background is preferred.
2. 5+ years working experience in Fiber and Power cable design or manufacturing. Be knowledgeable at the fiber, power and hybrid cable fabrication process.
3. Be knowledgeable at fiber, power and hybrid cable Standard/Regulatory.
4. Be familiar with fiber, power and hybrid cable material and cost analysis is plus.
5. Coax cable design or manufacturing working experience is plus.
6. Good command of written and spoken English.
