Title:  Design Verification Intern: Summer 2022

How You’ll Help Us Connect the World 

As a Design Verification Team Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficiency of testing Coaxial Cable products used for RF signal transmission solutions in our Home products – primarily cable modems and gateways. You will work closely with the DVT team to understand the current testing and help to automate and improve both the execution of tests as well as the collation and uniformity of test data. This role will be based in Suwanee, Georgia. 


You Will Make an Impact By 

  • Working closely with senior level engineers in mentorship role 

  • Learning the basics about various protocols used by our products (DOCSIS, WIFI, Ethernet) 

  • Documenting and organizing test stations 

  • Automating test collection and collating data reports 

  • Assisting in performing Design Verification Test (DVT) of products in accordance with specification requirements and approved test procedures 


Required Qualifications for Consideration 

  • Junior or Senior standing in a BS or master’s degree program in Electrical or Computer or Software Engineering from an accredited university 

  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0  

  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future 

  • Have experience with Test automation, particularly Labview 

  • Have advanced knowledge of macros and/or .NET to be used in Microsoft Excel

  • Are familiar with iperf and Packet Generator Tools (e.g. Ixia, ByteBlower)

  • Are achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail
