How you'll help us connect the world:

 

As a member of the Ruckus Networks Hardware Engineering team, you will be the engineering point of contact for Ruckus Wireless products. You will be responsible for managing the team of EE’s for delivery of the hardware to mass production, working with the manufacturing and other Ruckus teams.  You will represent the Hardware Engineering organization within the company and will lead cross-functional teams to address company-wide initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of HW aspects WiFi products.
  • Mange team of EE’s and layout engineers.
  • Represent internal HW team across the company. Coordinate activity of internal RF, Electrical Mechanical, Compliance and other teams.
  • Develop and own key WiFi hardware related product requirements and system/product specifications.
  • Serve effectively as hardware solution subject matter expert working with internal groups, external partners, and key customers.
  • Drive necessary hardware project related activities and communications between internal and external groups and partners
  • Oversea HW design, debug and DVT work. 
  • Follow New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and introduce appropriate hardware development processes.
  • Some weekend and evening work schedules will be required to work with offshore test teams and offshore internal software teams.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in relevant roles.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing HW teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, qualification, and manufacturing of high-volume commercial radio products.
  • Strong understanding of NPI process.
  • Capable of providing direction and mentorship to jengineers and technicians.
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills that involves influencing multiple functional groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, high-speed circuit design, FPGA/CPLD designs, EDVT, MDVT, and product compliance.
  • Start-up attitude is essential.
  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field.

Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $160,000.00- $208,000.00
