Title:  Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager-NPI

Are you driven, detail-oriented and have experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) in the electronics industry? Due to company growth and customer demand, we are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager NPI to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA.

How You'll Help us Connect The World

This team member will take on project strategy and lead teams to implement efficient supply chain methods for both existing and new product introduction with the goal of launching production at optimum costs and the right supply chain.

This role will execute total cost of ownership analysis, risk analysis, supplier interviews, RFP/RFQs, supplier selection, site audits, qualification, cost negotiations, establishing contracts/non-disclosure agreements and strategic supplier development.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will make recommendations for the use of Contract Manufacturers vs. In-House manufacturing for the supply of finished products and be an integral part of the overall supply chain strategy. We're looking to you to:

  • Contribute to development and execution of procurement strategy leading to the best cost, quality, and supply chain results possible.
  • Drive early supplier and category team involvement with new designs from the concept stage onwards, ensuring product design is optimized.
  • Handle product Bill of Materials (BOM) costs from concept to final production launch, ensuring that cost targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost reduction opportunities on existing and new products.
  • Lead procurement extended teams including global category teams, site procurement and EMS procurement to negotiate and drive optimum costs.
  • Drive supply chain risk mitigation through multi-sourcing and vendor relationship management.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis of components and employ ‘Should Cost’ models
  • Lead product RFP process and align cross-functional teams on supplier selection.
  • Assist in corporate negotiations for global vendor base.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
  • Eight or more years of procurement experience with 3-5 years working with EMS/ODM.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead cross functional teams.

You Will Excite Us If You Have

  • MBA or Master's of Engineering degree.
  • Experience in networking industry and familiarity with wireless and switch products.
