Principal Technical Marketing Engineer

Job Summary:

We’re adding a hands-on Principal Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to the RUCKUS Networks Technical Marketing team. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California, United States — Onsite, 5 days/week. You’ll build and run lab environments and PoCs, create standout technical content, enable Sales Engineering, and act as a subject-matter expert for campus networking (Wi-Fi, switching, NAC, security, cloud, analytics).
Key Responsibilities :
- Labs, demos & PoCs: Design, build, and maintain TME/solutions labs; create repeatable demos and proof-of-concepts for field and customers.
- Technical content: Produce reference architectures, best-practice guides, feature briefs, presentations, training decks, demo scripts, and short videos.
- Competitive & positioning: Analyze competing solutions; articulate technical differentiators and arm Sales/SEs with clear battlecards and talk tracks.
- SE enablement: Build enablement tools (labs, guides, demos) and support field engagements, including customer-facing technical presentations.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in systems engineering, technical marketing, QA/lab, or solutions engineering (enterprise networking).
- BS in EE/CS/CE (or equivalent experience).
- Deep expertise in enterprise campus networking: Wi-Fi/RF (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), switching/routing (L2/L3, VLANs, STP, OSPF/BGP, multicast), NAC, network security (NGFW/UTM, SD-WAN), cloud-managed networking, analytics/AIOps, and IoT design considerations.
- Hands-on with automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash) and test tools (Wireshark, Ixia/Chariot or similar).
- Proven ability to craft high-quality technical documents, presentations, and demo videos for technical and executive audiences.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills; comfortable leading demos and deep dives with customers and partners.
- Experience leveraging AI/LLM tools for content and productivity is a plus.
You’ll excite us if you have:
- Industry certs (CWNA, CCNP, etc.) or other OEM certifications.
- Familiarity with ZTNA, SASE, SSE architectures.
- Prior experience designing labs and scalable PoC frameworks.
Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance.
