Position Overview
This Indirect and Site Procurement Specalist provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and procurement support to the R&D organization (Center of Excellence) while overseeing site administration for the Shakopee facility. This role ensures efficient department operations, effective site management, and strong coordination across engineering, facilities, vendors, and corporate functions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, service-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a dynamic technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Serve as an indirect buyer supporting site and R&D purchasing activities.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP and Ariba.
- Oversee procurement processes, including approvals and compliance with corporate policies.
- Coordinate vendor setup and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Manage supplier communication regarding orders, shipments, and issue resolution.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and credit holds.
- Support supplier negotiations in collaboration with Category Managers.
- Manage special payment terms (e.g., deposits, tooling payments).
- Ensure accurate purchasing categorization (e.g., tax vs. non-tax, R&D vs. production).
Site Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to for site.
- Organize customer visits, leadership meetings, and site tours.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, recognition events, and team-building initiatives.
- Partner with HR to support company events, town halls, and training.
- Serve as a primary contact for site administrative inquiries and cross-functional coordination.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as a liaison between engineering, procurement, HR, facilities, IT, and external vendors.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support site operations and departmental needs.
- Ensure clear, timely communication across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in business administration, Office Management, Supply Chain, or related field (required/preferred based on company standards).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in administrative support, procurement, supply chain, or engineering support roles.
- Experience supporting engineering, R&D, or technical teams preferred.
- Experience with facilities coordination or site administration strongly desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in facilities or workplace services management.
- Familiarity with EHS, safety, security, or compliance processes.
- Experience supporting senior leaders or technical management teams.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial tracking systems.
Skills & Competencies

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex corporate processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Proficiency in SAP and procurement systems (Ariba preferred).
- Problem-solving and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $76,000 - $95,000 based on hired level and experience. The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
