We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Data Center team located in Shakopee, MN.

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead an engineering team, guiding and supporting them in the execution of the R&D function for optical connector products. This role involves developing and executing human resource strategies to achieve established objectives and ensure long-term success and profitability. The manager will set general priorities for product development and design, oversee process and system improvements, administer policies and procedures, and ensure the team is properly trained to complete assignments efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the manager will identify and propose solutions to technical roadblocks and barriers to system improvements. They will also help the organization manage customer product quality, manufacturing, and other issues related to the group's products and processes.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Establishes the work group's charter, goals, and plans based on company as well as business unit objectives.
• Manages the assigned projects and activities of the team and defines work roles to achieve objectives.
• Identifies resources needed to support existing product lines and develops competencies of the team to support new products and technologies.
• Provides day-to-day direction, guidance and support to direct reports.
• Responsible for evaluating staffing requirements and managing staffing changes as appropriate in order to achieve team's business objectives.
• Manages department budget, materials, expenses and external services within approved operating and capital budgets.
• Provide input and support expected from Customer Service, Product Management, Marketing Operations, and Sales.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and eight or more years of experince in design, manufacturing, or product management
• Five or more years managing other professionals in a product development or product management environment.
• Experience in optical connector design.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,100. 

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
