Process Technician IV

This is an onsite role at our Shakopee, MN facility.  Local candidates will be given priority.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support process engineers in developing and validating new production processes
  • Run feasibility tests to develop equipment operating parameters and qualify production equipment
  • Work with process engineers to document results and work instructions for using various automation equipment and fixtures
  • Collaborate on brainstorming and design reviews for new processes with the engineering team
  • Provide feedback on equipment design for functionality and ease of maintenance
  • Work with the engineering team on performance improvements in safety, yield, cost, and capacity
  • Partner with operators and the team lead to implement process and safety enhancements into production
  • Assist in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Help develop training materials and support operator training globally
  • Contribute to product qualification and launch activities

 What You Bring (Minimum Requirements)

  • High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Willingness to travel to global production sites
  • Currently live within commutable distance of our Shakopee, MN facility

 

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in fiber optic termination and splicing
  • Experience working on small form-factor and/or fragile products
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Familiar with LEAN Six Sigma concepts and tools
  • Background in new process development
  • A positive mindset and passion for automation
  • Hands-on experience in a production environment
