Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist 

Location: Santa Teresa, New Mexico

Define and implement a business-wide strategy for sourcing a quality driven, reliable, flexible, and cost-effective supply chain for fiber optic passive components, connectors, sub-components, synthetic fibers, stampings, and assemblies. Lead supplier negotiations and selection, as well as the development of contracts and supply agreements within the telecommunications industry, involving specialized products and process mapping of the technical competencies of the supply base. Coordinate with global procurement teams and corporate procurement personnel to implement strategies. Lead supplier relationship management initiatives with the fiber optic components category panel including performing periodic strategic reviews, supplier development initiatives, and inter-business improvement projects. Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier lead times, minimize total inventory, and maximize cash flow. Monitor supplier performance through the management of monthly metrics including cost, contract penetration, and performance factors of fiber optic components suppliers. Identify and execute continuous improvement and cost savings projects across the supply chain including developing new sources of supply. Lead quarterly business reviews with senior management of suppliers. Keep updated on market trends related to fiber components and specialized products tied to product knowledge, new suppliers into the market, benchmarking studies, technical capabilities of the competitive landscape, and relative information associated with these trends. Perform data analysis as requested for financial impact of total cost of ownership including quality performance and cost impact of suppliers utilized. Identify supply chain simplification projects as needed to improve on service models to our customers. UP TO 70% TRAVEL TO VARIOUS CLIENT SITES NATIONWIDE. TELECOMMUTING PERMISSIBLE. Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related and 8 years of work expereince
