Sr. Operations Analyst

Our team is growing ! We are looking for an Operations Analyst within logistics who is responsible for analyzing and improving the efficiency of logistics operations. This role involves collecting and interpreting data related to supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance operational performance.

 

100% onsite and in office 5 days per week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growth Support: Support business growth in the Datacenter Fiber business by acting as a conduit in Global Logistics and Transportation with our key business partners in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, BU and Customer Service.
  • Operational Support: Coordinate and improve the movement of goods between both southbound and northbound between the 3 Manufacturing sites in Mexico and the DC in the US. Utilising SAP reporting and analytical tools to streamline and automate the process.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze all data related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, picking, packing and receiving productivity, and inventory management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the 3PL logistics processes and develop strategies to improve them. This may involve optimizing routes, reducing costs, and improving delivery times.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, on time performance (OTP), and productivity reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Invoicing Support: Create purchase requisitions as needed for business support.
  • Collaboration: Build cross functional relationships with your key stakeholders, such as procurement, 3PL staff, customer service, Operations, Planning and IT, to ensure seamless logistics operations. With key focus and attention to management and follow up on intransit products for hyperscale customers.
  • 3PL Management: Serve as backup support to 3PL Distribution Manager and address any issues that arise with FedEx as needed.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize logistics software and tools such as SAP to monitor and manage logistics activities. This may include warehouse management systems (WMS).

 

Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (supply chain, logistics, operations management) with at least 5 years of related experience (open to considering experience in lieu of education)
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Ability to present findings clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to work with different programs such as SAP, and MS Office including Excel.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify operational issues and assist in developing effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus (preferred)
  • Travel – possible at times (less than 10%)
