CommScope is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Santa Clara, CA
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
As a member of our Access Network Solution's software engineering team, you will be developing software for our variety of embedded products. You will make an impact by working with our engineering development team to influence the design of the software. We will encourage you to work in various projects and coordinate with our offshore team who provide management software for managing and monitoring these embedded devices. Engage with Quality Assurance in designing test plans, test scripts and implementing them.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience
• Software or firmware development experience using C, C++
• Strong theoretical background or experience in software development on embedded devices
• Proven expertise with various data Structures and handling bit fields is important
• Experience with SNMPv1, SNMPv2 protocols
• Familiarity with system level testing of embedded devices and related tools
• Experience with at least two scripting languages like SHELL, Python, Perl, Java, etc.
You Will Excited Us If You Have:
Working knowledge on basic electronic circuits and I2C communication
• Experience with embedded Linux
• Knowledge in IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP protocols and SNMPv3
• Strong written and verbal communication along with problem analyzing and debugging skills
• Programming experience for proprietary protocols over serial bus (RS232) or USB is a bonus
• Working knowledge on HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server, JSON, XML

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $100,600 to $128,200.00
The Candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
