Title:  Demand Planner

We are looking for a Demand Planner to join our team based in historic Saltaire. It's a great time to join our business as this position will be key in influencing change across the business unit. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Global Planning activities by being the focal point of communication with the Business Unit and Operations leaders
  • Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / Inventory and Operations relevant to current business requirements
  • Facilitate/lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) in collaboration with PLM and Operations
  • Analyse and agree Inventory targets at a global and plant level
  • Manage inventory levels in assigned regions and business units working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimization
  • Engage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives
  • Measure, support and develop local entity planners
  • Manage supply chain system parameters for entire Product Life Cycle
  • Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products where applicable
  • Balance global supply and capacity to provide highest level of customer service and operational efficiency

 

Key Deliverables include:

 

  • Global Capacity analysis and reporting
  • Global order entry, invoicing and backlog reporting
  • Global Operational metric analysis and reporting
  • Lead and drive S&OP at Business Unit level
  • Report S&OP accuracy and actions
  • Analyze global supply chain and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Revenue and margin reporting
  • Global Inventory reporting
  • Service Metrics at a BU level analysis and reporting and issue resolution
  • Customer service escalation point for lead time or service issues

 

Experience:

 

  • Proven ability to drive successful inventory/working capital strategies, lead time responsiveness and customer service levels
  • In-depth knowledge of end to end Supply Chain
  • Organizational capability to sustain results through systems
  • Strong background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
  • Significant experience with ERP and reporting tools required, SAP preferred
