Supervisor, FG

Due to continuous growth, CommScope is looking to hire a Supervisor, FG to be based at our site in Goa, India. This role will be responsible for releasing work orders and coordination with the production team and vendors for timely production/supply of material and ensuring smooth production without any shortage of material.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

• Oversee and coordinate daily activities such as receiving, storing, picking, and loading finished goods. Track product movement throughout the warehouse, from production lines to shipping docks. 

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure completeness for outgoing dispatches Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse staff. This includes assigning tasks, managing schedules, providing performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment. Generate shipping documents and labels, coordinating with the shipping department for timely delivery. 

• Ensure all operations comply with company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards. This includes inspecting goods and warehouse grounds and taking action on non-conforming products. Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of production runs and meet delivery schedules. 

• Plan and coordinate vehicle and route planning to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods. Track shipments to confirm delivery status. Identify and address potential production bottlenecks that could impact finished goods availability.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Maintain detailed records of finished goods inventory levels within the SAP system. 

• Generate reports on inventory turnover, sales trends, and potential stock issues. 

• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in inventory management. 

• Conduct quality checks on finished goods before shipment to ensure compliance with standards. 

• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits

• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation

• Work with shipping carriers to schedule deliveries and manage transportation costs. 

• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished goods. 

• Strong understanding of inventory management principles

• Proficiency with SAP systems and data analysis

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple departments

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

• Problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and shipping delays 

• Primarily office-based with regular interaction with warehouse and production areas.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as B. Com/B. A with minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.

• Degree /Diploma with minimum 4+ years of experience.

• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and dispatch.

• Knowledge of warehouse management software (e.g., SAP) and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.

• Proficiency in SAP as it relates to time and attendance, material transactions, etc. Very good interpersonal, communication & people management skills.
