We are currently recruiting for a Planning and Logistics Specialist to join our team in Richardson, TX.


Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating order administration and the flow of material and value-added activities in order to provide optimal customer service, internally and externally.

Directing and managing the planning and logistics activities of the order fulfillment process. Responsibilities will encompass all administrative functions including, but not limited to, planning, logistics delivery to the customer, and administrative support related to these processes.  Monitor the in-transit shipments from the factories working to CommScope processes, procedures, and policies.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with appropriate planners and manufacturing facility people, etc. regarding product availability, inventory levels and customer service issues. This includes issuing and monitoring inter entity purchase orders (Standard Transport Orders (STO’s)) in SAP on factories for customer orders.
  • Monitors past due orders, delivery constraints, and customer complaints and communicates to appropriate contact to facilitate corrective action.  Informs all appropriate personnel of changes in availability, cancellations, or miscellaneous delays.
  • Coordinates with Project Management, Administration personnel, and customers and the customer’s installers to ensure timely delivery of material to the customer's site.
  • Interacts with nominated Logistics and Service providers such as FedEx, UPS, Expeditors, DHL etc. and ensures correct receipt of goods, storage and deliveries of materials to customers are made in line with the agreed operating procedures. 
  • Ensures that the supply chain processes are supported with all necessary documents and required approvals, in line with the CommScope policy and procedures. This includes import documents, Proof of Deliveries (POD’s) and inventory validations.
  • Identify and allocate on the invoices, to which business unit costs must be allocated and produce relevant import documents for foreign payments.
  • Coordinate project material shipments with CommScope and/or 3PO warehouses.



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • 3-5 years working experience preferred.
  • General working knowledge in Logistics/Shipping, order entry process.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, SAP.
  • Able to work independently if needed.
  • Cross border logistics.
  • Accuracy.
  • Strong communication, team building, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Self-starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual.
  • Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP required.
  • Strong computer skills.
