CommScope is hiring a Planning and Logistics Manager in Richardson TX

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage and lead the Planning and Logistics organization, within the DCCS business unit for NAR and CALA, to align with business unit and operational objectives.  Facilitate the planning function and inventory strategies for the DCCS products.  Indirectly manage the operations of CommScope or 3PO warehouses. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Proactively lead Planning activities by being the focal point of communication with the Corporate Demand Planning and Operations leaders.
  • Coach, mentor and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / inventory and operations relevant to current business requirements.
  • Coordinate and publish monthly financial reports.
  • Balance and assign workload for the team.
  • Manage escalations through to completion and communicate accordingly.
  • Manage Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations.
  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardized operating procedures.
  • Manages inventory levels and safety stock levels by working closely with Corporate Demand Planning, sales, and product line management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and five (5) plus years of related experience.
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control) certification is desirable.
  • CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certifications are desirable.
  • Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning is desirable.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP required.
  • Strong communication, team building and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross functionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines.
  • Self-starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual.
  • Previous management experience desirable.
