CommScope is seeking a Molding Engineer Intern to join our team in Richardson, TX, or El Paso, TX.

How You’ll Help Us Connect the World.

As a Molding Intern, you will be responsible for implementing a system to track mold tools throughout the products' life cycle. You will work closely with Mold Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and our Research & Development teams to design a database, and create forms, and procedures to collect all important tool data.


You Will Make an Impact By...

  • Review current databases and find opportunities for improvement and streamlining to increase use and accuracy.
  • Work with IT to create a process for contract manufacturers to use and make updates to the database for tools they manage
  • Meet with team members from multi-disciplinary teams including Molding Engineers, Management, Quality Engineering, and Procurement to capture information on current processes, challenges, and areas of improvement.
  • Find opportunities to reduce and improve the management of tools including EOL procedures and proactive replacement


Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Junior or Senior standing in a BS, BA, or master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering or similar field from an accredited university
  • Proven academic solid performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Willingness to travel to northern Mexico with the team to visit a CommScope manufacturing facility
