We are actively recruiting for an Information Security Analyst with expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls to join our team! This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote based out of our Richardson TX location.

 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

In this role, you will support the development and management of next-generation Palo Alto firewalls and other systems for which the team is responsible using your knowledge of Panorama, Global Protect, Threat Prevention, URL filtering, and other Palo Alto features, including SSL decryption

You will design & deploy new firewalls which support HA peering, VPN tunnels, and IPSec. By studying network traffic flows and locking down applications you will .modify firewall rule sets, change policies, whitelist, content filtering, and work on other troubleshooting issues. Other responsibilities include:

  • Perform ongoing optimization of the firewall environment to ensure adequate capacity, availability, and scalability and assist in developing detailed firewall build and test plans
  • Proactively reviews the Service Now ticket queue, pursues new requests and incidents
  • Build standards documentation, Visio diagrams, and configuration templates
  • Research security vulnerabilities, understanding their impact to the environment along with steps to remediate

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 5+ years’ experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Experience Installing and configuring Palo Alto Firewalls in cloud architecture, including AZURE/AWS/GCP

 

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer certification
  • Familiar with industry best practices/standards, including in-depth knowledge of generally accepted security methods, concepts, and techniques
  • Understanding of networking protocols and standards, including BGP, OSPF, SNMP, QoS, DHCP, DNS, etc. and ireshark or other protocol analyzers
