Title:  Facilities & Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities & Maintenance  Specialist for our Richardson, TX facility, you will  coordinate and perform facilities maintenance activities insuring the  in-house facilities support, maintenance and outside contractor services meet the needs of the business are executed in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner .

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage outside contractors to include prequalification, selection, agreements and invoicing by contractor to insure accuracy, budget, schedules and goals are met.
  • Oversees building burglary, fire, video and badge access systems and responds to all facility emergencies.
  • Supervise maintenance and procurement of furniture, equipment and supplies for the facility.
  • Responsible for creating requisitions, placing orders, CARS (when applicable), vendor payment and invoice reconciliation with A/P.
  • Manage building systems and equipment maintenance agreements and contractor relationship, scheduling and supervision.
  • Facilitate and/or supervise equipment installations and building projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining building and grounds in an organized and safe manner.
  • Provide facilities support to EHS by managing waste disposal, responding to safety concerns and loading data related to facility waste, recycling and utility consumption into Enthropy.
  • Maintain company vehicle(s) for maintenance, inspections, and registrations.
  • Provide meeting and event support as needed.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information.

 

Skills Required:

  • Associate’s and or trade related curriculum such as electrical engineering or industrial electrical maintenance
  •  3 or more years of maintenance or facility management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
  • Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and request assistance or guidance when needed.
  • Must have organizational and planning skills to handle multiple projects at the same time. 
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively and deliver results within deadlines and within budget.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management and employees.
  • Understand prints and drawings related to building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrate effective communications with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls after hours within 15 minutes

 

Preferred Skills

  • Construction related experience  
  • Project management experience
