Title:  Director of Global Procurement

Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Director of Global Procurement to join our HELIAX team in Richardson, Texas.



  • Responsible for ensuring that the worldwide Procurement strategy is aligned with the HELIAX business unit (BU) strategic requirements.  
  • Contributes to the planning, development, communication and implementation of the Company’s global BU Procurement activities. 
  • Responsibilities are considered integral to the success and profitability of the business. Continuous review and analysis of the strategy is required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. Must help formulate strategy, recommend and implement solutions and adjust according to BU demands.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the aspects of CommScope's business and of how the supply chain impacts our position. Manages projects, establishes and achieves KPI goals.



  • Sets strategy for supply chain for the BU in alignment with the segment financial plan.
  • Ensures supply chain capacity to meet business plan​.
  • Manages supplier spend exceeding $190M.
  • Drives / supports Make Vs. Buy decisions and sourcing strategy with a cross functional team​.
  • Drives material cost reduction to meet financial goals​.
  • Implements strategy for NPI to ensure lowest cost at launch with the right Supply Chain​.
  • Identifies and mitigate Supply Chain risks​.
  • Participates in S&OP process for BU to maximize financial & service objectives​.
  • Develops & leads high performing team / robust development & succession planning.
  • Delivers strategic programs & projects to align with the BU needs.
  • Responsible for service levels and supporting inventory goals for business unit​.
  • Partners with Site Operations and Global Operations leadership​.
  • Cross communication between the BU and larger Procurement Organization​.
  • Formulate strategy across the BUs driving synergy and leverage​.
  • Product and business knowledge including trends and color​.
  • Interface with remote general management and senior executives.


  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.  MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field required.
  • Must have successful and progressive management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Strategic thinking – capable of sharing and driving people towards a vision.
  • Must be skillful at influencing decisions and opinions, negotiating, and building consensus.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Must have strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.
  • Resilience, composure and ability to work under high pressure.
  • Nimble learning – ability to quickly develop products knowledge.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines required.
  • International travel required in this position.
