CommScope is hiring a Senior Continuous Process Engineer for our Manufacturing Site to be based out of Reynosa, Mexico.

The Senior Continuous Improvement Process Engineer is a leader and facilitator within a team. The role is to develop and implement a unified approach to the CPI process at CommScope with the intention of delivering high quality products and services through lean processes and efficient value added to the high standards maintained by CommScope. This position has organizational functions and multi-functional interactions with Clients, Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, and any other applicable area for the support of Continuous opportunities to Improve the Process. Must be a leader of the Continuous Improvement Process for both internal and external processes. The position requires the ability to identify added value against waste and the application of structured methodologies to eliminate waste.


Ideal candidate will be required to facilitate new methodologies and approaches to eliminate natural waste and inefficiencies that exist in the organization's Value Stream. Will be responsible for the Continuous Improvement of the Processes within the site and scope of the indicated sites. The engineer will facilitate change while working on a structured management matrix.


  • Provide information for a live strategy in the Continuous Improvement Process specific to their areas of responsibility to help drive excellence through all products and processes to align them with the General Strategy for Continuous Improvement of the Company, implementing the best industry practices, for example lean methodologies including 5S's, VSM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc. This strategy will incorporate the required elements of the corporate, business unit, site with clients (internal and external) and organizations such as Operations, Purchasing, Supply Base, Quality, Planning, Finance, etc.


This position is responsible for 4 key areas of the Continuous Improvement Process related to the elements of the site (s) / BU, he is responsible for:

  1. Lean Manufacturing: the development and application of world-class methodologies within CommScope including Value Stream mapping. Kaizen etc. as applicable to the process (business or operational processes) or products within the scope of its responsibility to improve added value and reduce or eliminate waste.
  2. Six Sigma: systematic application of world-class Six Sigma tools and methodologies to reduce process and / or product variation and consequently ensuring confidence that products and services always meet the given requirements.
  3. Education: to educate and train in the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. To train and educate CommScope personnel and where applicable, customers and suppliers to deliver Six sigma tools and methodologies.
  4. Facilitator: to facilitate an Operational Excellence program and continuous improvement of the Process.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • 8 to 12 years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment with an emphasis on Continuous Process Improvement/Lean Manufacturing processes and Bachelor's Degree in related area; or 5 to 8 years experience with Master's Degree.
  • Must possess good oral/written communication skills (English and Spanish).
  • Certification on Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (a must).
  • Sophisticated excel skills (such as macros development).
  • Minitab proficiency.
  • SAP Knowledge.
  • Ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with internal and external individuals on sophisticated issues.
  • Able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
