Title:  Manager, Sales

General Summary

  • Individual contributor field sales role, responsible for selling company products, services or solutions into a particular territory or region that include large and key customer accounts.  Coordinates the sales and customer relationship and internal processes to meet assigned financial objectives; including achievement of product sales/solution sales goals. May recommend selection and development of distributors and other customers in respective region in order to achieve continued growth in marketplace and support achievement of company financial objectives. Travel required per need basis.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary Contact / Style of Contact:
    Develop, grow, and maintain sales and management customer relationships at all levels (including senior management team of customers at CxO positions) within Bharti Airtel and Northern region mobility/wireless customers. Engages appropriate internal resources as necessary, to support sales pursuits.
  • Proactively plan and direct sales activities in Bharti and Northern region accounts by routine visits, customer training, providing information of new products/solutions in order to achieve maximum results in development of existing and new customers.
  • Will be required to have a clear strategy to engage with Bharti Airtel over longer period of time alongside immediate tactical plan to win new deals and/ or maintain run-rate business necessary for retiring the sales planned numbers.

Primary Job Focus:    

  • Manages the on-going account relationships. Maintains account presence by providing value-added services and maintaining professional relationships with key customer personnel, Coordinates the sales and customer relationship process to meet assigned financial objectives; including achievement of product sales/solution sales goals. Follow up on day to day basis with Bharti Airtel Senior and Mid management folks to get deep insight on their network evolution thought process and pain points so as to pitch in Commscope solution. Gather intelligence on competition and generally on Telco market.
  • Demonstrates significant expertise in assigned product lines and ability to explain technical issues. Has a broad knowledge of the entire product line and internal end to end sales cycle from opportunity generation till cash collection. Will be required to get proficient on CommScope Way of sales methodology. Responsibility will include period reporting like weekly sales reports, regular revenue outlook or forecasting, etc

Job Accountabilities:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Accuracy of revenue and demand forecasting, account planning, project planning and other related sales administrative tasks to grow financial objectives. 
  • Provides timely information and reports, as required, to inform management of sales progress and success.

Role in sales process:     

  • Executes the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying sales leads, coordinating sales activities and required resources for solution development, to presenting solutions and negotiating through the close. Using appropriate sales messaging, favorable influences selection of products, service or solutions in targeted accounts

 

RELATED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE                   

  • Preferably with Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as B.TECH in ECE with 10+ years of experience.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
  • Communication Skills:
    Supports and participates in team sales initiatives where applicable by gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts
  • Relationship Building Skills: proven experience.
  • Sales/Selling Skills: Proven experience in planning and managing Channels, engaging end customers, working with Consultants. Good experience in planning sales in a region and proven results in delivering on target sales for a region
  • Account Planning/Forecasting Skills: proven experience in planning and delivering on results in a region
  • Product/Service/Solution Knowledge: Proven experience in RAN  Area preferred.
  • Customer/ Account/Market/Industry Knowledge: Proven experience for Handling of large business to business transactions and key account management. Preferred experience in dealing with large telecom operators.
