Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Regional Systems Engineer, based in India, to support the India and ASEAN regions, with a focus on Ruckus Networks solutions in the Hospitality sector. This role will collaborate closely with the sales team to drive new business opportunities and ensure customers achieve rapid value from their network investments.

 

Key responsibilities include delivering in-depth technical presentations and providing customized design recommendations to customers, partners, and system integrators. The position will also involve participating in customer meetings to discuss solution architecture, system design, and deployment strategies—ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Engagement with Tier-One HSP Brands: Cultivate strong relationships with global hospitality brands by engaging with CXOs, IT leadership, local service providers (LSPs), and property owners from a technical perspective.
  • Local Brand Development: Spearhead technical engagement and growth initiatives with prominent local hospitality brands.
  • Hybrid Role (Systems Engineer + Business Development): This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business development responsibilities to drive growth across the region.

 

Key Attributes & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of pre-sales experience in networking technologies. Prior experience working with clients in the hospitality sector is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.
  • A solid understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi ,Cloud, and AI technologies
  • Proactive & Self-Driven: Ability to operate independently with minimal sales team support.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, integrating, and delivering complete solutions.
  • Excellent Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork, customer interaction, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement:
    • Regular interaction with local hotel brand IT leaders and consultants to influence technical specifications and standards.
    • Engage with non-IT stakeholders (e.g., security and engineering teams) to promote Ruckus solutions.
    • Assist with ongoing account management and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Sales Opportunity Support:
    • Review sales pipeline to assist in deal closure and optimize BoQs for competitiveness.
    • Perform competitive analysis.
    • Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and lead customer proof-of-concepts and trials, active site surveys, and proposal development.
  • Training & Enablement:
    • Conduct hands-on technical training for partners and customers in the local language.
    • Enable partners on Ruckus solutions as a primary focus, and CommScope infrastructure as a secondary objective.
  • Market Insight & Reporting:
    • Provide feedback to corporate teams on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Act as the communication bridge between field operations and corporate technical teams, including escalation and bug tracking.
  • Event Participation:
    • Represent the company at marketing events, industry forums, and partner conferences.
  • Post-Sales Support (as needed):
    • Assist with post-sales activities and critical customer escalations in collaboration with TAC and internal support teams.
  • Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel across India and ASEAN region is expected.
