CommScope is looking a Sr. Project Manager, who can manage end to end FTTH/HFC Outside Plant Projects with complete control on operational performance, Profit & Loss management, Risk management. Capable to lead customer and a team of professionals with different skillsets such as engineers, supervisors, designers, walkers, 3PV, etc.

 

Communication, leadership, motivation, conflict management, adaptability, resourcefulness, team building, Influence, decision making, negotiation, trust building and coaching soft skills are required, and openness to adopt/improve CommScope project management methodology. Act as supporting leader is the project management style required for this position.

 

Job Summary

Outside Plant Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Underground Utility and Outside Plant data and telecommunications infrastructure projects in Latin America including planning, scheduling and managing keeping the project on track, within budget, in compliance and positioned for timely completion with exceptional quality.

 

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Requirements, indicate preferred as applicable

Formal Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Experience (type & duration)

10+ years leading projects in telecom industry (OSP projects is a plus)

Languages

Bilingual (Spanish –English)

Skills

Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies

Planning and Forecasting (activities, time, cost, revenue, etc)

Mexico City

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements

Normal office, Home Office and laboratory environments. Candidate must be able to travel to other locations if required (Up to 80% of the time).

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1

Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle, in accordance with company defined project management processes and procedures.

Perform project planning, tracking, and reporting. Maintain project metrics, communicating project status, issues, risks and requirements both verbally and in writing.

Identify and coordinate resources required in order to meet commitments, project goals and objectives

Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using the appropriate tools. Collaborates with other departments/3PVs as required to execute on timelines to meet the goals of management and contractual compliance.

Budget estimation and tracking, ensuring project completion within budget

Work with customer and internal technical resources to complete deployment of projects.

Conduct project presentations as required.

Serve as key escalation point of contact for customer.

Review and implementation of key performance metrics (Build production, Overage Job Management, Market Productivity, Etc.)

Manage project documentation

Ensure quality and testing to meet service requirements

Planning and tracking of walkout-digitization-design-permits-construction process

13

Stakeholders management (Internal, 3PVs, Customer)
