Title:  Planner

General Summary

Responsible for Demand Planning within assigned BU. Partner with Operations Management and PLM with the primary goal of balancing the competing objectives of maximising customer service, minimising supply chain costs, optimizing working capital and supporting the Demand Planning process.


This vacancy will be based at our Malton site with some limited UK travel


Duties & Responsibilities

Proactively lead European Solutions Planning activity by being the focal point of communication with the BU and Operations leaders

Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / Inventory and Operations relevant to current business requirements

Manage escalations through to completion and communicate accordingly

Manages Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations

Work with Operations to ensure capacity levels are managed in support of the master production schedule

Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardised operating procedures

Manages inventory levels working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimisation

Enage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives

Measure, support and develop site planning activity

Manage system parameters for entire Product Life Cycle

Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products where applicable

Balance supply and capacity to provide highest level of customer service and operational efficiency

Travel within the EMEA region from time to time as required


Skills Required

Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning

Strong communication, team building and presentation skills

Strong analytical abilities

Ability to lead cross functionally

Able to work flexible hours and travel nationally

Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines

Self-starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual

Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP required

Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) prefered  and some related experience

CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) certification preferred and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certifications are desirable
