Title:  Sr. Product Line Manager - DOCSIS

This position is for a Senior Product Line Manager (PLM) within CommScope’s Converged Network Solutions team!! The focus is on products and solutions to fit within the DOCSIS Remote-PHY and Remote MACPHY DAA market as defined by the CableLabs specifications. Looking for a seasoned CMTS Product Manager with strong technical and business skills to lead cross-functional product development and help the team achieve our corporate CMTS goals in revenue growth and market share. Make decisions on product definition, roadmaps, feature priority, competitive differentiation, and solution strategy to address product evolution and meet customer needs and expectations. Responsible for managing and tracking products through all phases of the lifecycle, from inception through product deployment and eventually, end of life.

Be part of a product management team working along with sales, marketing, development, and manufacturing in a matrix environment. As part of this role, support efforts to evaluate the viability of new product ideas in the context of the organization's strengths and capabilities, production capability, quality, costs, and marketplace demand.

Define product requirements, set product roadmaps, and contribute to strategic product/portfolio planning. Lead new product definition and business plan development to ensure profitable decisions for product lines. Manage product lifecycle and competitively position products in the marketplace. Provide leadership, management, and organizational skills to ensure the on-time release of quality products. Lead engineering, manufacturing, market management, and sales to enhance, build, and market products/solutions. Work with marketing to define marketing objectives commensurate with product line objectives. Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors that are complementary to the product line. Negotiate business agreements as needed. Monitor competitor strategies, positioning, and product functionality as well as communicate such information to peer teams. Support sales and market management with product presentations to customer prospects.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

10+ years of experience in the CMTS space in product management or technical sales

BS in Engineering or Business (MBA is a plus)

  • Experience in partner management, business development, and marketing as well as international markets knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, execute, deliver, and achieve positive results
  • Effective and persuasive oral and written communications skills, including public speaking
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally depending on product line and target markets
  • Ability to learn, analyze, and shape business processes
  • Location: Lowell, MA, Horsham, PA, or Lisle, IL preferred
