CommScope is looking to hire Senior FPGA verification engineer in Lowell MA


How You'll Help us Connect The World

As a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, this role works on innovative products to deliver high speed connectivity to communications companies around the world. This role will be working in our hardware team and developing self-checking test benches. We work with CommScope FPGA design engineers in Lowell primarily but also with engineering teams across other sites. We will encourage you to participate with Hardware and FPGA engineers in debug and troubleshooting during simulation, lab and customer deployments and work with engineers from other CommScope sites on joint designs and to share the best design practices and tools


Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor's degree in a related curriculum such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and eight years of proven expertise
  • Strong experience with System Verilog and UVM and ability to write scripts (E.g. Perl) and work in a revision controlled (E.g. Clearcase) environment is also important.
  • Prior experience working on products from feasibility through to production and field deployment and completing verification of ASICs or FPGA Xilinx and/or Altera designs.
  • Demonstrated skills with HDL simulators such as Synopsys VCS and/or Siemens QuestaSim.
  • Proven track record developing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging simulations.
  • Experience with regression planning, job batching systems (ie. Grid Engine, Jenkins), and generation and analysis of functional and code coverage reports.
  • Understanding of simulation performance optimization, code re-use methods, and third-party verification IP use.
  • Expected Travel less will be up to 5%


You Will Excite Us If You Have

  • Background in Data Communication, Telecommunications or Cable sector.
  • Experience with VHDL, Verilog and C/C++.
  • MSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
