Title:  Technical Support Engineer Intern: Summer 2022

How You’ll Help Us Connect the World 

As a Technical Support Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for installation, test, and support of Distributed Architecture Applications, including server-based applications for CMTS and CMTS related products. You will work closely with Technical Support, Software, and Hardware engineering teams to validate installation and support of several Broadband products in the CommScope portfolio. This Intern will have the opportunity to learn DOCSIS 3.1, IP/Routing (IP v4 & v6), RF, and video technologies.  This internal will also have the opportunity to troubleshoot lab-based problems and work on customer issues from a vendor standpoint.  This role will be based in Lisle, IL. 


You Will Make an Impact By 

  • Installing / setting up servers and computer-based equipment in a lab environment 

  • Configuring and debugging CMTS and CMTS based products 

  • Validating software installation packages and supporting documentation 

  • Assisting in network design and implementation of new products 


Required Qualifications for Consideration 

  • Junior or Senior standing in a BS, BA or master’s degree program in Information Technology/MIS/CS/EE/CE from an accredited university 

  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0  

  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
