Title:  Manager, Demand Planning

General Summary


Responsible for Demand Plannning within assigned BU/Region. Partner with Operations Management and PLM with the primary goal of balancing the competing objectives of maximising customer service, minimising supply chain costs, optimizing working capital and leading the Demand Planning team.


This vacancy can be based at any of our European sites including UK, Spain,  Italy, Belgium, France, Germany & Czech Republic


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Proactively lead Global Planning activities by being the focal point of communication with the BU and Operations leaders
  • Coach, mentor and manage performance of direct reports
  • Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / Inventory and Operations relevant to current business requirements
  • Balance and assign workload for the team
  • Manage escalations through to completion and communicate accordingly
  • Manages Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations
  • Work with Operations to ensure capacity levels are managed in support of the master production schedule
  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardised operating procedures
  • Manages inventory levels in assigned regions and business units working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimisation
  • Enage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives
  • Measure, support and develop local entity planners
  • Manage system parameters for entire Product Life Cycle
  • Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products where applicable
  • Balance global supply and capacity to provide highest level of customer service and operational efficiency
  • Ability to travel globally


Skills Required


  • Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
  • Strong communication, team buiilding and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to lead cross functionally
  • Able to work flexible hours and travel internationally
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines
  • Self starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual
  • Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP required
  • Minimum of a four year Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of related experience
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control) certification preferred. CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certifications are desirable
  • Work experience in the assigned BU/Division desired
  • Previous management experience desirable
