Site Director

 

 

The Site Director directs and implements the site’s operations’ activities, strategies, and objectives to ensure the achievement of goals.  Focused on on-time delivery, quality and gross margin and resource planning.  Supports long-term goal formulation, planning and implementation of strategies.

 

 

Responsabilities

 

  • Direct the Operations functions globally concurrent with:
  • business growth
  • introduction of new products
  • meeting division financial objectives
  • meeting divisional goals in relation to safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products
  • Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between supporting departments within the organization
  • Assess and assist in continuously developing the talent base within the BU`s operations to achieve growth and meet market needs (i.e. reduced cost, shorter manufacturing/product introduction cycle times and on-time delivery)
  • Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead times on existing and new products
  • Is a key member of the Operations staff and is a key contributor to
  • overall planning process
  • establishment and assessment of the division’s annual operating budget
  • achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth
  • Coordinate needed support to operations areas through intradepartmental interface for smooth work flow and cost-efficient products
  • Manage Operations through Contract manufacturing
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop, test, and implement new manufacturing processes, product and systems technology to meet the BU’s objective
  • Participate in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology to improve cost of sales and promote on-time delivery
  • Administer and manage the division’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment
  • Where applicable, please refer to the Company’s “Schedule of Authority” in order to identify approved spending levels

 

 

Skills required

 

  • Degree (BS, MS) from an accredited university combined with twelve (12) years operational experience with a minimum of eight (8) of those years in manufacturing management
  • Experience must include progressively more responsible positions in the areas of production leadership, operational excellence and total customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines
  • Ability to drive change where required
  • Demonstrates ability to think ahead and act to ensure success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, Dutch)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain the proper balance between meeting the business needs and managing the available resources
  • International travel will be required in this position
