The Junior Product Manager supports the global product management leads and related product groups of a predefined network segment (eg. trunk-feeder-distribution enclosure segment), over its projected lifecycle.  You will be jointly responsible for the commercial definition with strong focus on pricing strategy creation and implementation through close collaboration with the Product Line Managers. The Junior Product Manager leads the execution of portfolio rationalisation and end of product life decisions to assure seamless product transitions of future developments. You will support the marketing group for product collateral creation this in close cooperation with the global product management leads.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • You will determine what information is needed and conducts research analysis and market/application research to support defining new product requirements. 
  • The Junior Product Manager analyzes sales and other financial data to derive information necessary to influence / support managerial decisions concerning market opportunities, product modification, and new product development and proposes recommendations as appropriate. 
  • As Junior Product Manager you influence and support the formulation of product strategies, plans and policies, you will also aid in establishing the position of assigned product(s) in the market by understanding the position of major competitive offerings.
  • The Junior Product Manager guides the global product management leads with product lifecycle management, including rationalisation and new product introduction including assisting customer support representatives. You will lead the execution of portfolio rationalisation and assists in inventory and shipping processes and coordination, quotes, bid preparation, product loads and cost inquiries.
  • Furthermore, you will assist with the development, implementation, and coordination of strategic market plans for the assigned product line and assists in achieving product line strategies set by the global product manager in each assigned market.  In that regard the Junior Product Manager works with the global product manager in the development of the strategies.
  • Finally, you will support sales and marketing presentations and demonstrations where additional technical expertise is required.


Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Sciences or a related field
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently
  • Assertive, persuasive and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • SAP systems knowledge advantageous
