As a Test Engineer you take full responsibility for the quality of the design of a released product. You put quality above everything else, even if it means having open conversations with team members. You are willing to postpone a product release to maintain product quality. You always keep the users in mind when testing the product. The Test Engineer monitors each stage of the product development process to ensure that the design meets international and / or customer standards.
Tasks & Responsibilities
• SPOC for all test related activities within a product development project (fe optical, mechanical
and electrical tests).
• Full Project Core Team Member throughout the project.
• Generate detailed test plans and timelines based on product application, Commscope
Performance Specifications and customer requirements.
• Approve final test plans and implementation schedules.
• Collaborates with the local Test Lab Manager to reserve Test Capacity (Test Technicians &
Equipment) according to the Project Timeline.
• Support the local Lab Team to expand the lab with additional NCC Test Capabilities.
• Timely delivery of test reports according to the Project Timeline.
• Technical advice / support to Product Development Engineers in solving problems.
• Follow-up and support of all Test Technicians.
• Review and approve test reports.
• Handle multiple test projects simultaneously and provide planning support to project managers.
• Supports, does Performance Reviews and defines Development Plan for the NCC Test
Technician.
• Supervisor of a Test Technician.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in industrial sciences and minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Master's degree in industrial sciences (eg mechanics, optics or electronics), and minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent team player - good communicator
• Analytical / critical thinking - problem solving skills
• Work in an organized, accurate and structured manner
• Learn quickly and want to learn
• Time Management and being able to set the right priorities
• Good knowledge of and application of statistical methods in testing and result analysis
• MS office - including MS Project
• Fluent English reading, writing & speaking
